UKRI Strength in Places Fund: Medical Technologies in the Leeds City Region: Driving economic growth, improving health and care

20 May 2019

12:00 – 17:00

Met Hotel, Leeds

Following our successful expression of interest on Medical Technologies in the Leeds City Region: Driving economic growth, improving health and care to UK Research & Innovation’s Strength in Places Fund, we are holding a consultation event and launch of call for project definitions on 20 May 2019.

  • Learn more about the vision and strategy for our regional healthtech initiative, our proposed Strength in Places programme and how it can support our ambitions
  • Get involved in our call for project definitions for technical proof of concept and clinical evidence projects
  • Network with industry, clinicians and academics

This event is aimed at academics, industry and clinicians based in the Leeds City Region

Book now

The expression of interest has been awarded early stage funding to develop a full proposal – to be submitted to UK Research and Innovation by 18 September 2019.

If successful, the programme will attract £18M UKRI funding into the region – for technology proof of concept projects and clinical evidence projects. Projects can be industry or academic-led. They must be match funded by industry (in-kind or direct cash: 30% for micro and small, 50% for large companies).

The meeting on 20 May will provide further information about the opportunity and invite project ideas to define the first 50% of projects to be funded.
